Meet the team: Faye Lewis
Learn more about inEvidence's Shrewsbury correspondent: from reality TV to Yoga!

Name:
Faye Lewis

Role:
Advocacy Director

Location:
About two years ago (time flies!) we relocated from Cheshire down to Shrewsbury – I love it! It’s a perfect mix of town and rural, and it’s so nice to be back in the West Midlands where I grew up.

Time with inEvidence:
7.5 years. Again, time flies!

Favourite story or job that you’ve worked on:
This is a tough one. I think it has to be the VMware Loyalty program work. It was something completely different and outside the box, and seeing the communities grow and become more integrated over time was just brilliant.

Biggest challenge:
When it’s busy, the juggle is real. Managing lots of different projects at once and spinning lots of plates can be a big challenge, but it’s also one of the main reasons I enjoy agency life so much! The variety keeps every day fresh and I really enjoy being busy and productive. The days fly by!

Key learnings:
Listen to the client and understand their vision and pain points – really try and put yourself in their shoes and see where they’re coming from. I’ve found that the strongest client relationships I’ve been able to nurture are ones where we’ve been able to be completely open, honest and collaborative. That is really only achieved by listening to them right from the beginning.

How does working for inEvidence differ from previous jobs?
I was in-house before I joined inEvidence, so it was a complete departure from what I’d known previously. I was also new to the world of tech, so that was initially quite the learning curve! We’re a truly international agency, and working with clients across time zones on a variety of different projects, often in different languages, is par for the course and something we adapt and flex to as needed. It’s a part of the job I really enjoy – speaking to different customers you find out so much about the world. It’s a very exciting way of working.

What makes inEvidence a great agency?
I really think this comes down to the people. I have the pleasure of working alongside such a warm, friendly and open bunch – it really is a joy. Everybody is willing to help everybody else, there are no egos, and despite us all being far flung and spread out across the world, there’s a proper community feel and we all know each other so well. I think that enables us to produce great work that we can all feel proud of.

You’re one of an elite few who have picked up inEvidence’s Don Lewis (no relation) award. How did that feel?
It was such a lovely honour, and so unexpected! I am not at all good at receiving compliments, so I was completely shocked to find out I’d received it – but in a nice way! I also had the pleasure of sharing the award this year with my lovely colleagues Jex and Dani, so we celebrated in style at the Christmas party with a photobooth pic!

What do you do in your downtime?
I love yoga and go to classes one or two mornings a week before work. It’s just a lovely way to start the day and I love the calmness it brings! I also love getting outside, whether that’s running or walking, cooking and travelling.

Last binge-watch:
Mobland, although I’m not sure if it counts as a binge-watch as it’s in weekly instalments. I’m so impatient for the final few to be released! I’m also a reality TV addict and am currently switching between Below Deck (very highbrow) and Love on the Spectrum, which really is the most joyous, wholesome watch.

Describe yourself in three words:
Friendly, easy going, interested.

Three people at a party wear turkey-shaped hats and festive outfits, smiling for the camera. "Heaton House Farm Christmas Party" is written at the bottom in red text. Other guests are visible and the venue is decorated with lights.
A woman with light brown hair pets a small deer in a sunny park. She is wearing a yellow floral blouse, tan shorts, and white sneakers. Several other deer and people are visible in the background.
