Name:

Dani Bobe

Title:

Advocacy Specialist

Location:

I’m based in Bucharest, Romania. I was born in a small town, just underneath the Carpathian Mountains – a really beautiful place with lots of nature. It’s called Câmpulung, which literally translates to ‘long field’ which is funny since it is not a flat area at all. I came to Bucharest when I was 18 for university and never left.

Time with inEvidence:

Since 2019.

Favourite project:

That would be a MongoDB video we made with Autodesk – an American company that provides software to architecture and engineering industries. I really love architecture, so I enjoyed seeing how technology enables design.

Biggest challenge:

Broadly speaking, I’d say it’s the dynamic thing – everything is in motion at all times. You have to be able to prioritise. Also, just communicating with people all over the world via video, not always face-to-face – people don’t always verbalise what they want so you have to be able to feel their intent. But it makes me proud that I’m able to make a lot of very different people happy with our work.

Key learnings:

Our clients and their customers are global. So being aware of cultural differences or geographically specific differences is important in making people happy and meeting their expectations. It means you can communicate in a way that will be efficient – even if that’s just using somebody’s regional greeting when you start an e-mail or conversation. Pleasantries really go a long way – they’ll open doors for you.

How have you seen customer advocacy changed over the years?

The most important factor I believe is still the same today in its essence. It’s passionate people talking about their work. What has changed, of course, is how we use technology to further our goals, to tell stories better, and to make them more engaging. That’s obviously evolved at pace with technology, and it’s always shifting.

What makes inEvidence a great agency?

It’s a cliché to say – ‘it’s like a family,’ – but we are a very close-knit team. Plus, people are very engaged, and helpful and the fact that you own your own projects brings a lot of job satisfaction. Everyone wants you to succeed.

What do you do in your downtime?

I have several interests. In fact, I struggle to keep up with them! But mostly I ride my bikes. I love cycling, in any environment. I used to do a lot of architectural photography but not as much anymore. I’ve recently found a passion for plants – so, I have a collection now of all sorts of flowering and nonflowering plants that I enjoy. But mainly I ride my bikes, hang out with the cats, and with my future wife Ana.

Last binge-watch that you’d recommend:

An animated series called Hazbin Hotel. If you liked The Good Place, I think you’ll enjoy it.

Describe yourself in three words:

Serious, outgoing, pragmatic.

A cyclist wearing a helmet, sunglasses, and a backpack rides a mountain bike through a shallow, splashing stream surrounded by lush green vegetation. The bike displays a number plate reading "562.
A white stone planter against a stone wall is filled with blooming white, pink, and yellow flowers. Potted plants and a small conifer are arranged on the wooden floor below. A wall lamp is visible at the top right.
